Catskill Craftsmen is located in Stamford, New York, a small rural village nestled in the northern sections of the Catskill Mountains, at the headwaters of both the Schoharie and Delaware rivers.
Catskill Craftsmen began operations in 1948, and has developed over the years, becoming the nation's leading manufacturer of RTA (ready to assemble) hardwood kitchen islands, carts, and work-centers. The company is privately held, and takes great pride in its products and services.
Sixty dedicated employees work hard to insure that our products are delivered rapidly and meet your satisfaction. Catskill's manufactured items are made from naturally self-sustaining, non-endangered North American hardwoods, primarily birch and hard rock maple. Lumber is purchased from area sawmills, then dried, manufactured, and packaged on site. All sawdust, shavings and waste materials generated during the manufacturing process is converted into wood pellet fuel, and used to heat homes. Catskill is proud to say, "our operations generate no wood waste".
Catskill is also a leading manufacturer of exclusive, private label kitchen workcenters for the trade. Their products are described as "high quality at fair prices".

This is a high quality cart. All the pre-drilled holes were where they were supposed to be. It took longer to assembly than I expected, but it went together beautifully. I had to purchase a smaller cart due to the size of my kitchen or I would have bought a larger cart to have more storage room.

I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. [...] I was surprised at the ease of assembly. It would have been nice if the pieces were marked but it was still quite easy to put together. I use it for both storage and food preparation. I was impressed with the sturdinessof my cart. It's appearance is quite attractive and complements the cupboards in my kitchen. The locking casters work very well and being able to wheel it to a different location is great. I would reccommend it to anyone.

After assembled it is a nice looking cabinet. It took 3 hours. The pieces should be labeled. It took 40 min to identify each piece. The drawings aren't always clear. It would be easier if the Back had A, the Left Side had B and the Right Side had C, etc. The drawer slides nicely but wiggles back and forth after opening all the way. It slides on a round dowel in the middle. It would be more stable if it were on two dowels positioned evenly across. Step 7 is not needed. We skipped that step. In step 14b you put the pegs for the top shelf in after the doors are on. Why not do them in Step 8d when you put the bottom shelf pegs in. The last two steps 16 and 17 are to attach the knife rack and the hand towel bar. It was a TOTAL PAIN to have to open the doors and screw from inside and we had to push the drawer open as the holes line up right where the drawer is. These should be completed after step 8. The towel bar posts predrilled holes could be better. It was well worth the money.
