Sixty dedicated employees work hard to insure that our products are delivered rapidly and meet your satisfaction. Catskill's manufactured items are made from naturally self-sustaining, non-endangered North American hardwoods, primarily birch and hard rock maple. Lumber is purchased from area sawmills, then dried, manufactured, and packaged on site. All sawdust, shavings and waste materials generated during the manufacturing process is converted into wood pellet fuel, and used to heat homes. Catskill is proud to say, "our operations generate no wood waste".

The chopping block seems to be well made (I've only had it a couple of months) and is an attractive addition to my kitchen. I use it a lot.

I was disappointed in the finish of this cutting board. The wood is so rough from lack of a finishing sanding that its impossible to run a cloth or paper towel over the surface since it gets caught on roughly finished wood.
Also, the routed out finger grips on the side were chipped around the edges. I was very disappointed.
