Built from select Northern hard rock maple, John Boos butcher block kitchen carts and islands feature end grain cutting surfaces that are easy on knives and resistant to nicks. Each butcher block kitchen cart is made to professional standards and can be found in restaurants, butcher shops, even the White House kitchen! John Boos Butcher Block kitchen carts and islands are made of kiln dried hard maple dried to a moisture content of 6%.

To maintain the beauty of your John Boos & Co. butcher block kitchen cart, it’s important to use a steel scraper or spatula to scrape loose any foreign matter that adheres to the surface. To clean, wash the surface with a dish cloth dipped in warm, soapy water. Rinse the dish cloth in clear warm water and go over the butcher block surface again, and then use a dry cloth to thoroughly dry all the surfaces on your kitchen cart. John Boos and Co. recommends using food safe oil on all surfaces of your butcher block kitchen carts once every month to seal and protect.

John Boos & Co has been continuously producing high quality butcher blocks, kitchen carts, and cutting boards in Effingham, Illinois since 1887. For home chefs and professionals alike, John Boos products are synonymous with premium construction, durability, and superior design.
