The kitchen cart met our expectations. It was easy to put together and looks good as a finished product. The only thing that we wish would work better are the brakes that lock the wheels in place. This, however, is something we can work around.

[...]Assembly instructions were better than most provided for furniture you must assemble but there's always room for improvement in this category. However, because of the mis-leading drawing of the drawer sides with the tracks, I had to take out and re-assemble the drawer. Wasn't too bad but, made me feel goofy that I didn't get it right the first time. The assembly process was also somewhat akin to a gym workout: I was sweatin' man!All parts were milled to high quality for a piece at this price point, in my opinion. However, they should have provided more screws and been clearer about which screws, long or short, should have been utilized in certain wood components.The black granite, although minutely imperfect in a couple of areas, is quite beautiful but, VERY heavy. Heavy is good!The fact that all parts are black and not butcher block like many kitchen carts of this type, makes it look a lot more elegant than what one would expect. A lovely, inexpensive piece that looks more expensive than it is. A great gift from my girlfriend that opened up my small kitchen area, gave me a nice prep area and storage for pots, lids and spices.Get a thick cutting board with rubber feet to prevent slipping on the surface while cutting, prepping, etc.

This cart is just what I expected in terms of quality and appearance.

If I had to be nitpicky I would say they could have done a little bit better job buffing the granite and there are little areas where a speck (maybe sawdust?) got mixed into the paint but that was mostly on the inside and it did not affect the look, but you can feel it if you are trying to wipe down the surface. Also, the top drawer is a little bit on the shallow side so you may not be able to fit every flatware tray into it but it shouldnt be hard to find one that fits.

Overall an excellent product.

We just received the Home Styles 9001-0044 Black Kitchen Cart with the black granite top and are very pleased. It is well made and the instructions on how to assemble it were very easy to follow. The only reason we gave it a # 4 rating is we wish they would have done a better job polishing the edges of the granite. Some areas are shaded and slightly rough. In other respects, the cart is as well made as our custom-made kitchen cabinets.
